    Description

Original (1984) Kurt Naef MODULON architectural wooden block puzzle toy.
Received as a gift in late 1980s. Displayed in an office briefly; handled only lightly. In dry, climate-controlled storage for 30+ years.
All pieces in tact and still in its original configuration. In VG/excellent condition, but carefully note in Photo #4 the red scuffing on the white blocks (likely cleanable) and very small imperfections in the blocks themselves, which may have always been that way.
Black wooden display box also in VG/excellent condition. Slides open easily; closes flush.
The cardboard box is only in fair/poor condition and shows lots of wear. Same for the booklet (included).
Google "Naef Modulon" and you'll see the puzzle offered on Naef's site for 5.18, but it has been out of stock for a long, long time. Description from Naef's website:
"Modulon – a cube divided into the dimensions of the golden ratio. The golden ratio is achieved with a geometric construction that has a divisor of approximately 0.618 (the shorter part of a line segment has the same relationship to the longer part, as the longer part to the whole). Sixteen building bricks of seven different masses can be arranged to form many different proportions according to the harmonic principle."
