    Description

    These are becoming increasingly hard to find in good shape. The SIFO company, St. Paul, MN, was in business from 1944-1975. They made wooden toys and puzzles designed "to help children build their bodies by simple exercise, their minds through solving simple problems and providing recreation, their motor and mechanical skills through trial and error, repetition and use of memory." This toy of "Indian Beads" is possibly not politically correct in its name these days. However, the activity of children stringing beads is a motor and concentration skill that can be beneficial to their growth.
