    This is a Vintage Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle--  Titled "The First Salute" made of 3/16" Solid Wood.
    This is a large puzzle  that measures
    17 1/4" x 22".  It has large puzzle pieces--in all, 160 Original Pieces--Complete.  Random.
    This puzzle is in good condition.  There are four Broken pieces (with all parts included). See photo # 12.   Minor paper loss and Paper lifting--see photos #10 & 11.

    This puzzle depicts the Americans saluting the French Navy--backing the U.S. in the Revolutionary War against England.
    Artist Fletcher C. Ransom was an American painter--born 1870 and died 1943.  The record price for this artist at auction is ,475 for The Running Match which was sold at Christie's Los Angeles in 1999.
    This puzzle was among a large collection from an advanced private collector's estate.  Each of her puzzles was personally categorized, evaluated, numbered, and catalogued.  Her original photograph is included along with her personal hand written notes and evaluation of this puzzle.
